Jit Bahadur Masrangi Magar: Executive Director of SARDOGS NEPAL Head Office in Pokhara / Kaski District

father Jit son Kishwore 2013In spring 1991 Jith Bahadur  joined Himalaya Rescue Dog Training Center Sundarijal at first as a volunteer mountain guide to learn the art of SAR dog care and training.

He made his debut as a certified SAR worker by conducting the shortest ever successful search and rescue mission single handed within 6 hours time.

Searching the dense Shivapuri Forest  north of Sundarijal for a lost American Embassy personnel who had gone missing the day before on a groups hike he did not use a dog but rather his skills as guide in difficult areas.

Jit was using  a walkie talkie contact to our base and reported to a nervous First Secretary of the US Embassy to our great relief that he found the person sitting in a shelter hut on a path crossing deep inside the forest.

Over the years Jith was a SAR team leader at many spectacular search parties for lost foreign trekkers such as the famous search for lost Australian trekker James Scott, the lost German Doctor Peter Reuter, the lost German child Sebastian Bergerhoff, the Swedish  trekker Tim Alven and many more.

Dwelling from the same village of Chungmang as his childhood friend Nagin Thada he has two elder sisters and both parents still alife to care for.

Jit Bahadur became Chief Logistic Officer of HRDSN in 1994 .

His excellent skills in organizing transport of goods and staff to remote Medical Disaster Relief Camps and his strategic planning of dense area training  & search parties into  the foothills of the mighty Himalayas made him the most popular man for this job.

Meanwhile, and due to his skills as a jeep driver in difficult road conditions, (that would made him a winner at any international cross country rally)  he also became  the chief driving instructor of the junior rescue team leaders.

Since 1995 Jith Bahadur is in Charge of our Head Office in Pokhara from where he handles all affairs of our organization.

For inquiries and emergencies he can be contacted under mobile phone number 9846025679

Jit Bahadur is 44 years old, married with Phul Maya Pithakote Magar and has two sons; Kishwore, age 17 and Raj Kumar, age 12.
