Update June 5

Nepal Quake Aftermath

Broken chörten do not repair themselves. Having good friends abroad who help us rebuilt our lives is great.

Update June 1

We are currently checking unsafe classrooms in Dhading District. Two team members left yesterday morning by motorbike to Dhading to check several schools. We want to support the reconstruction aid and need to know what is needed.

Update 28 May

The roads to remote areas with scattered hamlets and villages deep inside the country are slowly closing down due to increasing monsoon activities. We wish we could fly!

Update 23 May

A majority of Magar and Brahmin castes are living here. About 70 percent of all houses have totally collapsed. Many of the people developed some mental illness after the shocks. Since SAR DOGS Nepal's staff went there to make temporary shelters for Ambar Magar’s parents; he informed the SAR DOGS NEPAL’s office about the situation of his area.

Update 22 May

Under supervision of Karna Dura the relief team has left in two cars on May 20 to Sindhuli. The team consists of 13 members, including 2 nurses from the Bir hospital and 2 drivers. Two additional healthworkers will join the team later.
