Thomas Princzkel
Thomas Princzkel, a Hungarian-speaking Slovakian citizen, has been missing since April 22 2014 in the Everest region. He was last seen in Dingboche on April 21, where he stayed in a local hotel. On April 22, the hotel owner looked at the room, but Thomas was not there. Subsequently, the owner suspecting his disappearance notified the local police. The police opened the room and only found his equipment and personal belongings.
It was his third visit to Nepal, as part of a bike ride around the world. According to Boris Gandel, Slovakia’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, authorities in Nepal have been searching for the Slovak. On April 25-26, a helicopter with the son of the Slovakian honorary consul in Kathmandu on board was deployed to search for him. Gandel said Thomas' cell phone was ringing but not answered.
